After a few moments Zarek decides to not persue the man who is in the same situation, and we abandon the endevor. We catch up with Erim and his son Jurik and continue our journey to the site where the Dragon attacked, on the way we are told to turn back for the road ahead is dangerous, I think to my self that the warning is more like an invite to some of us in this group. We venture a bit further and notice there is a fourty foot river with a bridge no where in site, Well I’m no engineer but I recall a memory of a large raft being guided by ropes from one side of the river to the other, and the river was much deeper than this one, so I proposed the idea and with two shifts of the sun in the sky we are on our way. Erim scans the skies and within moments we see a dragon in the distance, awhile later we catch another look and Erim determines that the Dragon is actually a Drake.
We arrive at the burned down town and Zarek investigated a pile of turned over soil and found a dead body and was able to dissurn that the body was ran threw with a blade. Schurr and I climb the tower and found there was a camp with a large tent and a caged drake. We all gather and with a little explaining to Erim and Jusrik we formulate a plan. Erim and Jusrik will take the Drake and the rest of us will take the kings men.
Guiness and I approach from the left side of thier camp and I proceed to light the only thing I could think of that would get everyones attention for sure the tent. Within moment the familiar sounds of panic and battle fill the air. I notice Holg takes no time to close the ranks and get bloodied and Schurr soon joins the fray, with the murderouse screams and crys of the kings men seems to only excite the two into a cyclone of death and destruction. On the stealth front Mammon appears out of nowhere and attacks a surprised foe and Zarek fires shots from his bow that even an elf would say is quite skilled for a human and whatever he has for arrows are quite effective for his targets fall quickly, Its only seconds before a robed figure exits the tent and my nerves tell me i have to stop this one quick I focus my energy, cocentrate and form my minds power into a magnifisant blast that sends my foe hurdling threw the air to land twanty feet back. Whithin seconds the robed figure is surrounded with more men I sieze my moment and fire a lightning bolt that blows my target back into the robed figure with concussive force, with these attacks I notice that Guiness is setting the horses free from the stable and a sentry is onto my position and the robed figure makes a portal and escapes, With the enemy reforming thier ranks and my teammates advancing I notice the Drake is free and there is not a lot of time to deal with this new opponent, I decide quickly to steal the air out of his body, and give him something else to concern himself with. I will let Guiness take care of him and rush to aid in the advancing combat. An explosion furthers my drive as I round the corner of the burning tent I see the leader and a few of his guards closing thier ranks and focusing there attention on Schurr and decide to add a spark to this cluster in a hopes to push them back and even the odds…unfortunatly the supplies behind them had some bad reactions to the sudden flash of lightning and the concusive force throws the guard into his leader of whom was on fire into the explosives, which resulted in even a larger explosion that caught Schurr in the blast ( truly I need to work on my control) but no time for that now. The Drake is still air born but not for long, after an attack on Jusrik; Erim draws forth a sword that within moments slays the Drake. With no time to waste we realise the Drake has crahed onto Erim and he was in need of assistance to remove it. With speacial care and attention Guiness heals and tends to the parties wounds and with the last of the evenings light we gather gear, horses, and ourselves for the trip back to town.
I believe that this is only the begining of our dealings with the kings men and Erims troubles this is an enteresting chain of events we are headed for.
